Two films top the Oscars shortlist



The nominations for the 80th Academy Awards take been announced, with 'No Land for Old Men' and 'There Testament Be Blood' leading the short list with eight nominations each.
'Atonement', 'Juno' and 'Michael Clayton' have besides received numerous nominations.
As expected Wicklow occupier Book of Daniel Day-Lewis has been nominated for a Topper Thespian Oscar for his operation in 'There Will Be Blood'.
The other nominees for Best Worker are: George V Clooney ('Michael Clayton'), Reb Depp ('Sweeney Todd'), Tommy Robert E. Lee Casey Jones ('In the Valley of Elah') and Viggo Mortensen ('Eastern Promises').
The Topper Actress short list is: Cate Blanchett ('Elizabeth: The Golden Age'), Julie Christie ('Away from Her'), Marion Cotillard ('La Vie en Rose'), Laura Linney ('The Savages') and Ellen Page ('Juno').
The nominees for Best Support Player ar: Casey Affleck ('The Character assassination of Jesse James II by the Coward Robert Ford'), Javier Bardem ('No Area for Old Men'), Philip Jane Seymour Malvina Hoffman ('Charlie Wilson's War'), Hal Holbrook ('Into the Wild') and Tomcat Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson ('Michael Clayton').
Along with Irish people teen Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett ('I'm Not There'), Deep red Dee ('American Gangster'), Amy Ryan ('Gone Baby Gone') and Tilda Swinton ('Michael Clayton') ingest been nominated in the C. H. Best Support Actress category.
Shortlisted for Topper Director ar: Julian Schnabel ('The Diving Bell and the Butterfly'), Jason Reitman ('Juno'), Tony Gilroy ('Michael Clayton'), Joel and Ethan Coen ('No State for Old Men') and Alice Paul Thomas Sherwood Anderson ('There Will Be Blood').
The films nominated for Topper Picture show are: 'Atonement', 'Michael Clayton', 'No Commonwealth for Old Men', 'There Will Be Blood' and 'Juno'.
The five films nominated for Best Foreign Film ar: 'The Counterfeiters' (Republic of Austria), 'Beaufort' (Israel), 'Katyn' (Poland), 'Mongol' (Kazakh) and '12' (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).
The nominees for Topper Docudrama Feature are: 'No Conclusion in Sight', 'Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience', 'Sicko', 'Taxi to the Dark Side' and 'War/Dance'. 
The nominees for C. H. Best Animated Film are: 'Persepolis', 'Ratatouille' and 'Surf's Up'.
The nominees for C. H. Best Adapted Screenplay are: Saint Christopher Hampton ('Atonement'), Sarah Polley ('Away from Her'), Ronald Harwood ('The Diving Bell shape and the Butterfly'), Joel and Ethan Coen ('No Land for Old Men') and Paul Dylan Marlais Thomas Anderson ('There Will Be Blood').
The nominees for Topper Original Screenplay are: Diablo Buffalo Bill ('Juno'), Nancy Joseph Oliver ('Lars and the Real number Girl'), Tony Gilroy ('Michael Clayton'), January Pinkava, Jim Capobianco and Brad Shuttle ('Ratatouille') and Tamara Jenkins ('The Savages').
